Who we're looking for
Bring the second and we'll sharpen the first. You don't need a cricket badge to start this conversation — you need a background in sport or teaching, the patience for a five-year-old's attention span, and weekends in term time. Four people we keep meeting at the boundary:
You've run junior sides, herded colts on a Sunday morning, and know the difference between a drill that looks busy and one that teaches. Our game-based sessions will feel familiar — and faster. No queues, no cones for the sake of cones.
Cricket, athletics, netball, rugby — the sport matters less than you'd think. You know what deliberate practice feels like from the inside, and you can spot the child who's about to get it a beat before they do. That instinct is the job.
"Children who play multiple sports develop better coordination and fewer overuse injuries. We'd rather have a hurdler who loves kids than a purist who doesn't."
You already manage thirty children with one whistle and no fear. Our sessions run to the minute — health check, briefing, warm-up, carousels, match, debrief — and a person who can hold a room of six-year-olds is worth more to us than a beautiful cover drive.
You watch every session through the fence and you've quietly re-planned half of them. Fair enough. Come and do it properly — inside the methodology, with the training to back the instinct, and the children looking at you instead of past you.

Safeguarding isn't a section on this page; it's the floor the page stands on. The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our highest priority — which is why certification comes before coaching, and why the answer to "can we skip it just this term?" is a warm, immovable no.
